Though some had not seen each other since 1958, the football players and cheerleaders of the 1957 Franklin-Simpson season seemed to pick up exactly where they left off. Over forty team members, spouses and friends gathered at the Franklin-Simpson Indoor Athletic Facility on Friday, September 28 to reminisce and get to know one another 50 years later. At their meet and greet, past Western Kentucky University football coach and athletic director Jimmy Feix addressed the group about his memories of Franklin-Simpson football in the late 1950's. The group then attended dinner as guests of the Franklin-Simpson Football Boosters at their new Hundred Club pavilion. Prior to the football game, each 1957 team member and cheerleader took the field to be introduced and honored in front of a full house for the Warren East v. Franklin-Simpson football game. The Franklin-Simpson Alumni Association was happy to assist with this event.
