The FSEEF board of directors held its first monthly meeting of the 2014-15 school year on Monday, August 25. The board is pleased to award $750 to FSHS West Campus for their Friday meal preparation. Led by SNAP ED Assistant Caren Gibson, through the UK Extension Service, students learn how to prepare healthy meals on a budget. They learn the basic sciences behind cooking processes, skills to follow a recipe, food costs and comparative shopping skills.
We are pleased to provide support for this program which enables our students to learn skills that will help them be healthy throughout their lives.
