FSHS Principal Tim Schlosser attended the FSEEF board meeting on May 28 to report on the success of the READ 180 program which addresses reading strategies and comprehension skills for students are below level. 150 students participated in the READ 180 program during the course of the 2012-13 school year. Data was collected by Scholastic Data Analytics on the first group of students in the program that lasted one semester.
- 59 % demonstrated at least one year’s reading growth on SRI
- Of those students, 31% demonstrated at least two years’ reading growth on SRI
