The Franklin Simpson Educational Excellence Foundation congratulates Excellent Educator Crystal Bayles from Franklin-Simpson High School.
Mrs. Bayles has been teaching in Simpson County for 17 years. She attended Western Kentucky University, Tennessee Tech, and University of Kentucky. She currently teaches biology at FSHS. Her favorite aspect of teaching is the students! She comments, “Every so often, I remind them that I love my job, but it is because of them that I do.” Mrs. Bayles is married to Joic Bayles, and they have one son, Benjamin. According to Mrs. Bayles, “There are only a few things that I love more than teaching. They are God, family, & friends. Each day I wake up and know that I am blessed. My interests & hobbies are gardening, walking, reading, observing nature, hiking, and playing with Benjamin (sport of his choice). In addition, I thoroughly enjoy being a soccer mom, baseball cheerleader, & unofficial referee in basketball as I watch Benjamin play these sports.”
Students say Mrs. Bayles is…
- Tough but fair. She really knows her stuff!
- The kind of teacher who takes an interest in you and wants you to do your best.
- The one who stayed with me until my parents got there when I wrecked my car. She was even late for school and didn’t mind.
Thank you, Crystal Bayles, for challenging our high school students and encouraging them to do their absolute best!
